This project was a whirlwind from start to finish. We took over wireframing responsibilities from their internal team midway through a rebrand, designed and built the site without a developer, and then handed the code back over to their team again to integrate into their CMS. We also even switched to Bootstrap halfway through the development process. That said, it was a great learning experience and it was still fun working on a project that's both local and for a good cause.

Our primary goal here was to let the content shine. We didn't want to over-design the various components since they have quite a bit of useful photography (you know, being a media company and all). From a layout perspective, the editorial, column-based look felt natural for the brand/audience. ADA-compliance was also of utmost importance.

Responsive & Accessible

Being able to watch videos on the site was an absolute necessity. By default, we needed to ensure the mobile experience was a positive one with so many users visiting and viewing from their mobile devices. The use of Video.js and Bootstrap allowed us to build a scalable platform that made watching videos easy.
